We had a wonderful day volunteering for Feed My Starving Children and attending Miss Minnesota's concert for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!
I absolutely love volunteering for Feed My Starving Children! A Christian organization, they have nearly 1.2 million volunteers and have packed more than 333 million meals. Being a small business owner myself, I really appreciate that they support local artisans in the countries they supply their meals to. Last year, FMSC supported 1,951 artisans from around the world. Many of these products were being sold at FMSC in Egan and were beautiful. I loved all of the bracelets and bags with vibrant colors.
In only two hours, we packed enough meals to feed 153 kids for an entire year, amounting to 56,150 meals! Our group packed the most boxes, which we were proud of.
Afterwards, we spent the day together recording our Miss America Serves PSA video. Watch Here - https://youtu.be/KsamCfUSMk8
We also attended Miss Minnesota's Music For Miracles concert that night, benefiting CMNH. We met a young boy named Oliver who has been a patient with CMNH since birth. His mother brought us all to tears, telling us their inspiring story. I loved seeing Oliver doing well, being silly with his sister, and having a fun time. I could tell he really loves his big sister, who is a Northern Lights Princess! CMNH is such a wonderful organization and I am so happy to volunteer every opportunity I can with our CMN Hospital, Gillette Children's in Saint Paul.
