An official "Hello!" from your new Miss Minnesota and all of the exciting things I have been up to this past month.
It's now been over a month and I am thrilled to be serving my home state as your Miss Minnesota! I am so honored and I cannot wait to perform on the Miss America stage in September.
Miss America 2.0 will be aired live on ABC September 9th. If you are unable to make it to Atlantic City, be sure to tune in! I am in the Alpha group #17 for the preliminary competitions.
"preparing great women for the world, and preparing the world for great women."
It is an exciting year to be a part of this incredible organization. I feel empowered to make a difference not only in my local community, my state, but also across our great country. I want to inspire people of all ages and abilities everywhere to dream big like I always have. We are ALL capable of so much more than we could ever imagine, and I love being the person to tell someone, "I believe in YOU!"
The job of Miss Minnesota is something I have always dreamed about, and I certainly feel like I'm living in a dream. Since being crowned on June 16th, I have hit the ground running. Well, driving, literally!! Right away, I was off to Iowa for Miss America prep and choosing my evening wear for Miss America. I also took a road trip all the way to Texas to visit one of my past dance teachers and attend the Miss Texas competition. I loved welcoming another sister into the Miss America class! Making lasting friendships is an amazing part of this organization - It's pretty incredible that I can say I have a friend in every state!
I have also had an incredible media tour starting the weekend I was crowned! I have been
on TV, radio, podcasts, you name it... spreading the word about the new direction of the Miss America Organization and sharing my social impact, Raise The Barre! I love telling my story to everyone I meet. The media gives me the opportunity to expand my reach as Miss Minnesota and leave a positive impact on our communities!
If you are reading this and haven't met me in person, I would love for you to check out my other blog posts to learn more about me and my journey serving my community. I am an entrepreneur, with my own skincare company, Ballerina Botanicals, which I founded with my mother. I am also a professional dancer in Minneapolis with Alternative Motion Project. This year, I will be sharing my passion and spreading my social impact across Minnesota and hopefully across the country as Miss America.
